Our mission is to make data storytelling a participatory process. We don’t just design compelling data visualizations and leave it at that; we share knowledge about gathering and displaying data that your team can continue drawing on and learning from long after our job is done.
Pivot’s bottom-up approach to data skill-building works in three ways

Evaluation Capacity Strengthening
Our data and evaluation capacity strengthening programs help both funders and their grant partners make better use of the data they’re collecting — and the data that’s available — to serve their communities and measure impact.
These programs are completely customized to your organization. We design the curriculum, training content, and topics covered based on your needs, coursed out as necessary to make sure that your team has time to absorb the material.

Data Design Training
We also offer hands-on workshops on data design and storytelling, which helps funders and their grant partners turn what they’ve learned about their work and their communities into compelling visualizations that drive interest.

Product Design
We provide data design support by analyzing your organization’s data and creating visually engaging products to communicate impact internally and externally. We also leave staff with custom design templates to use going forward.
